2. Introduction

2.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") set out the rights and obligations of the seller and the buyer when buying goods and digital content through the online store walterin.com ("the store").

2.2 The buyer is a consumer: a natural person who, when concluding and performing the contract, is not acting for purposes of their trade, business or profession ("the buyer" or "you"). If the buyer is not a consumer, the provisions of these Terms and of consumer protection law that protect consumers do not apply to them.

2.3 We sell:

  • goods, for example tarot cards, printed books, stickers and clothing ("goods");
  • digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, in particular eBooks in PDF or EPUB format for download ("eBook").

2.4 Contracts are concluded in Slovak or English. The Slovak version of these Terms is binding.

3. Product information and price

3.1 The main characteristics of goods and eBooks are shown with each product in the store.

3.2 Prices are in euros and are final. Before you place the order, we show you the total price including delivery costs. We charge no other fees.

3.3 For delivery outside the European Union, the destination country may charge customs duties, import taxes or fees. These are paid by the buyer unless stated otherwise at checkout.

4. Orders and conclusion of the contract

4.1 Ordering works like this:

  • you add goods or an eBook to the cart;
  • at checkout you enter your contact and delivery details and choose delivery and payment;
  • before sending, you review the order summary and can correct any input errors;
  • you place the order with a button that clearly states the obligation to pay (for example "Pay now").

4.2 If the cart contains an eBook, before checkout we ask for your express consent to the start of delivery of the eBook and your confirmation that you have been informed that you lose the right of withdrawal (clause 8.6).

4.3 After you place the order, we send you an order confirmation by email without undue delay. The contract is concluded when you receive this confirmation.

4.4 The order confirmation contains the content of the contract, these Terms, the withdrawal instructions and the model form (or links to them) and, for eBooks, confirmation of your consent under clause 4.2. It is the confirmation of the contract on a durable medium. We archive the contract (order); its details are in your order confirmation.

4.5 We may refuse or cancel an order before performance, in particular if the goods are not available or the price was obviously wrong. In that case we refund everything you paid without undue delay, and within 14 days at the latest.

5. Payment

5.1 You can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover, Diners Club), Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.

5.2 You pay in advance when placing the order.

5.3 We do not offer cash on delivery or cash payment.

6. Delivery of goods

6.1 We show you the available delivery countries, methods and prices at checkout before you place the order.

6.2 Unless agreed otherwise, we deliver the goods no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded.

6.3 If we do not deliver the goods within the agreed time, you may set a reasonable additional period. If we do not deliver within that period either, you may withdraw from the contract.

6.4 The risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you when you receive the goods from the carrier.

6.5 On delivery, check that the parcel is intact. If it is visibly damaged, tell the carrier and write to us at support@walterin.com. This does not limit your rights for defects.

7. Delivery of eBooks

7.1 We deliver the eBook as a download link sent by email after payment. The link allows six downloads in total, shared between the PDF and the EPUB. There is no time limit on the link. If it stops working, or you have used all six, write to support@walterin.com and we will send you a new one.

7.2 Every eBook comes as two files: a PDF and an EPUB. To open them you need a device and an application that reads these formats. The files carry no technical protection (no DRM) — they open in any reader, on as many of your own devices as you like, and they keep working if you change device. We do not supply updates to an eBook after you have bought it.

7.3 The eBook is for your personal use only. You may not share, sell or make it available to others. Copyright in the text and illustrations belongs to the author.

8. Right of withdrawal

8.1 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

8.2 When the period starts

The period starts:

  • for goods, on the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods;
  • for several goods ordered in one order and delivered separately, on the day you receive the last of them;
  • for an eBook, on the day the contract is concluded.

8.3 How to withdraw

You can withdraw:

  • online via the "Withdraw from contract here" function in the footer of every page of the store (https://walterin.com/pages/withdrawal); we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt by email, including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay;
  • by email to support@walterin.com;
  • by post to the seller's address in clause 1.

You may use the model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. Any unequivocal statement is enough. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.

8.4 Effects of withdrawal

We will reimburse all payments received from you in connection with the contract, including the costs of delivery to you (except supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery we offer). We will do so no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal notice, using the same means of payment you used, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, and without any fees. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.

8.5 Returning goods

Send the goods back or bring them to Walterin s. r. o., Ľubochnianska 4, 831 04 Bratislava, Slovakia no later than 14 days from the day you withdraw. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14 days have expired. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

8.6 eBooks

You have no right of withdrawal for an eBook once its supply has begun, if:

  • before supply began, you expressly consented to supply starting before the end of the withdrawal period;
  • you acknowledged that you had been informed that by giving this consent you lose the right of withdrawal; and
  • we provided you with confirmation of the contract, including this consent, on a durable medium.

If any of these conditions is not met, you keep the right of withdrawal for the eBook. (§ 19(1)(m) and § 17(10) of Act No. 108/2024 Coll.)

8.7 After withdrawing from an eBook purchase

If you withdraw from a contract under which we supplied an eBook, you may no longer use it or make it available to third parties.

9. Liability for defects (claims)

9.1 Liability for defects

We are liable for defects in goods that appear within 24 months of delivery, and for defects in eBooks within 24 months of supply. If a defect in goods appears within this period, it is presumed to have existed at delivery. (Civil Code §§ 619–626; for digital content §§ 852h–852l)

9.2 Harmonised notice

The EU harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity is in clause 10.

9.3 Your rights

For a defect in goods you are entitled to free repair or replacement. If that is not possible or is not done within 30 days, you are entitled to a reasonable price reduction or to withdraw from the contract. If you withdraw, we refund you within 14 days.

9.4 How to claim

Write to support@walterin.com with your order number, a description of the defect and what you ask for. A photo helps. Goods that need to be assessed should be sent to the address in clause 8.5. We pay the cost of sending the claimed goods to us and back.

9.5 Damaged or wrong item

If you receive damaged goods or goods other than those ordered, write to us. We replace damaged or wrong goods; if that is not possible, we refund you. We bear all costs.

9.6 Handling of claims

We confirm your claim in writing (by email) without undue delay and state the deadline for handling it, which is at most 30 days. We tell you the outcome by email. If we reject the claim, we give the reason in writing.

Legal guarantee: EU harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity

Official harmonised notice under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. More about your rights: https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_en.htm

11. Dispute resolution

11.1 If you are not satisfied with how we handled your claim, or you believe we have breached your rights, you can ask us for redress at support@walterin.com.

11.2 If we reject your request or do not reply within 30 days of it being sent, you may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to an ADR entity under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. The competent entity is in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection (Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. Box 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, ars@soi.sk) or another authorised entity listed by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic: https://www.mhsr.sk/obchod/ochrana-spotrebitela/alternativne-riesenie-spotrebitelskych-sporov-1/zoznam-subjektov-alternativneho-riesenia-spotrebitelskych-sporov-1

11.3 This does not affect your right to go to court.

12. Personal data

We process personal data under our Privacy Policy: https://walterin.com/policies/privacy-policy

13. Final provisions

13.1 The contract is governed by Slovak law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the provisions of that country's law that cannot be derogated from by agreement.

13.2 We may change these Terms. The version valid when you placed your order applies to your contract.

13.3 These Terms are published in Slovak and English. In case of discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.
